     Recommendation: visual literacy topics could be incorporated and applied to student learning outcomes in technology focused education courses such as EDCI 2020 .
     Recommendation: visual literacy topics could be addressed in courses often required of elementary education majors (ex: art for elementary education*) or in general education courses  (such as art appreciation, literature,  or communications with intentional reference to visual literacy as a specific set of competencies.
